Who we are

Joan Solé (1970) is the author of the blog contents. He is a writer and translator both in Catalan and Spanish. He has translated some of his favourite writers: Shakespeare, Poe, Montaigne, Chesterton, Sterne, and Swift. He has published studies on these authors and others (Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, Pessoa, Rimbaud, Neruda…). He has also published books on some of the philosophers he finds most relevant: Kant, Schopenhauer, Spinoza, Kierkegaard, and Lévinas. He is the editor of two anthologies of fantastic literature and has written a history of astronomy. Recently he has written books on Russian Revolution and the European totalitarianisms of the 30s. He is the editor of the publishing house Séptima Generación (http://7agen.com/). Compulsive cinema viewer and very grateful to good and great documentary films.

Juan Escribano (1990), translator, writes the Spanish and English versions of the posts.

Víctor Sabaté (1976) is in charge of the technical aspects of this blog and translates some of its posts into Spanish. As it is common practice among his contemporaries, he was born, he studied, he lived in different places, and he worked. He prefers to read than to write. The things he is fondest of tend to go out of fashion: the fantastic tale from the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th, videogames from the 16 bits age, suicide, Nouveau Roman and progressive rock from the 1970s. He published the novel El jove Nathaniel Hathorne (Raig Verd, 2012) and the short stories collection Un bestiario (aproximadamente) (self-published, 2010), as well as some commissioned books under different pen-names. His personal blog is https://iaireland.wordpress.com/.
